•
Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
•
When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
•
Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
•
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
1.
Pull the hood rat release handle.
2.
Separate the hood latch release handle cable (A).

Loosen the mounting screws and remove the hood latch release handle (A).

4.
Loosen the mounting screw, bolts and remove the crash pad lower panel (A).

5.
Press the lock pin and separate the diagnostic connector (A)

6.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

•
Check the connection of the hood rat release cable.
•
Ensure that the hood is locked properly.
•
Be sure to assemble the connector.

    Replacement    • Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.

    Replacement [Steering column shroud upper panel]    • Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
