Hyundai Venue: Engine Control System / Injector. Repair procedures

Turn ignition switch OFF.
|

Disconnect injector connector.
|
3. |
Measure resistance between injector terminals 1 and 2.
|
4. |
Check that the resistance is within the specification.
Specification : 14.5Ω [20°C (68°F)]

Release the residual pressure in fuel line.
(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "Release Residual Pressure in Fuel
Line")
|
2. |
Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-)
terminal.
|
3. |
Remove the wiring harness after loonsening the mounting bolts.
|
4. |
Disconnect the injector connector (A).
|
5. |
Remove the mounting nuts, and then disconnect the fuel feed tube (A).
Delivery pipe installation nut (↔ Fuel feed tube) :
3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb-ft)

6. |
Remove the mounting bolts (A), and then remove the delivery pipe & injector
assembly from the engine.
Delivery pipe installation bolt :
19.6 - 24.5 N.m (2.0 - 2.5 kgf.m, 14.5 - 18.0 lb-ft)

7. |
Remove the fixing clip (A), and then separate the injector from the
delivery pipe (B).

Install the component with the specified torques.
|
• |
Note that internal damage may occur when the component is dropped.
In this case, use it after inspecting.
|

• |
Apply the engine oil to the injector O-ring.
|
|
• |
Inspect the injector O-ring when installing.
|

Install in the reverse order of removal.
