Removal
1.
Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
2.
Release the parking brake.
3.
Remove the floor console assembly.
(Refer to Body - "Floor Console")
4.
Disconnect the parking brake switch connector (A).

5.
Loosen the screw and then remove the parking brake switch (A).
Tightening torque :
1.96 - 2.94 N.m (0.2 - 0.3 kgf.m, 1.44 - 2.16 lb-ft)

Installation
1.
To install, reverse removal procedure.

    Removal 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable. 2. Release the parking brake. 3.

    Removal [Rear Drum Brake Type] 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable. 2. Release the parking brake.

    Removal 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the glove box. (Refer to Body - "Glove Box Housing") 3. Remove the smart key unit (A) after loosening the nuts.

    Inspection 1. Turn the ignition switch OFF. 2. Disconnect the intake actuator connector. 3. Verify that the intake actuator operates to the fresh position when connecting 12V to terminal 3 and grounding terminal 4.
