Replacement
1.
Remove the TailGate trim.
(Refer to tailgate - "Tailgate Trim")
2.
Using a flat-tip screwdriver, lift up slightly the socketclips (A) of both ends on the lifter (B), and thenremove the lifter from the bracket.

3.
Separate the tailgate main wiring (A) from theTailGate.
4.
Separate the nozzle (B).
5.
Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the tailgateassembly (C).
Tightening torque :
21.6 - 26.5 N.m (2.2 - 2.7 kgf.m, 15.9 - 19.5 lb-ft)

6.
To install, reverse removal procedure.

•
Make sure the tailgate locks / unlocks and opens /closes properly.
•
Adjust the tailgate alignment.
•
Make sure the connectors are connected in properly.
•
Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
