Hyundai Venue (QX): Front Suspension System / Front Lower Arm. Repair procedures

Removal
1.
Loosen the wheel nuts slightly.
Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.
2.
Remove the front wheel and tire (A) from front hub.
Tightening torque :
107.9 - 127.5 N.m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf.m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb-ft)

Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the front wheel and tire (A).

Loosen the lower arm nut (A) and then remove the lower arm ball joint by using SST(09568-1S100).
Tightening torque :
68.6 - 80.4 N.m (7.0 - 8.2 kgf.m, 50.6 - 59.3 lb-ft)

4.
Remove the front lower arm (A) after loosening the bolts & nuts.
Tightening torque
Front : 127.5 - 147.1 N.m (13.0 - 15.0 kgf.m, 94.0 - 108.5 lb-ft)
Rear : 156.9 - 176.5 N.m (16.0 - 18.0 kgf.m, 115.7 - 130.2 lb-ft)

Inspection
1.
Check the bushing for wear and deterioration.
2.
Check the lower arm for deformation.
3.
Check the all bolts and nuts.
Installation
1.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
2.
Check the wheel alignment.
(Refer to Tires / Wheels - "Alignment")
