| Removal |
Head lamps become very hot during use; do not touch them or any attaching
hardware immediately after they have been turned off.
|
The headlamp bulb should not be removed from the headlamp assembly until
just before a new bulb is installed.
Removing bulb for an extended period of time may affect headlamp bulb
performance.
Contaminants may enter the headlamp assembly where they can settle on
the lens and reflector.
Never turn on the head lamps with the bulb removed from the headlamp
assembly.

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Remove the front bumper cover.
(Refer to Body - "Front Bumper Cover")

Remove the turn signal lamp.
(Refer to Lighting System - "Turn Signal Lamp")

Disconnect the lamp connector (A) from the head lamp assembly.
|
| 5. |
Remove the head lamp assembly (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.
|
| Installation |
| 1. |
Install the head lamp bulbs.
|
| 2. |
Reassemble the head lamp bulb covers.
|
| 3. |
Reassemble the head lamp assembly after connecting the lamp connector.

| Replacement |
| Static bending light (SBL) |
| 1. |
Turn the head lamp switch off.
|
| 2. |
Disconnect the power connector from the lamp.
|
| 3. |
Remove the dust cap (A) after turning the dust cap counterclockwise.
|
| 4. |
Remove the static bending lignt bulb (A) after disconnecting the connector
(B).
|
| 5. |
Installation is the reverse of removal.
|
- After the testing of moisture, replace if necessary.
Testing of moisture

Turn and open the head lamp cover counterclockwise, as shown in the
figure.

Unfasten the 2 screws on the low beam and high beam head lamp cover
bracket, separate the head lamp cover bracket (A), and then replace
the moisture-absorbing agent (B).

| Head Lamp Aiming Instructions |
If there are any regulations pertinent to the aiming of head lamps in
the area where the vehicle is to be used, adjust so as to meet those
requirements.

Inflate the tires to the specified pressure and remove any loads from
the vehicle except the driver, spare tire, and tools.
|

The vehicle should be placed on a flat floor.
|
| 3. |
Draw vertical lines (Vertical lines passing through respective head
lamp centers) and a horizontal line (Horizontal line passing through
center of head lamps) on the screen.
|
| 4. |
With the head lamp and battery in normal condition, aim the head lamps
so the brightest portion falls on the horizontal and vertical lines.

Turn the front fog lamp on without the driver aboard.

Description 1. BI-FUNCTION (1) Definition – A headlamp with integrated functions of high and low beam.
Removal [Room Lamp] 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Using a screwdriver or remover, Separate the room lamp lens (A) from the room lamp.
Oil Specification 1. The HFC-134a system requires synthetic (PAG) compressor oil whereas the R-12 system requires mineral compressor oil. The two oils must never be mixed. 2. Compressor (PAG) oil varies according to compressor model.
Inspection 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the front door trim. (Refer to Body - "Front door trim") 3. Disconnect the power door mirror connector from the harness 4.
