The inhibitor switch mounted on the upper of transaxle and connected
with shifter lever.

The inhibitor switch has four points of contact and it makes the signals(S1,
S2, S3, S4).

The inhibitor switch signals delivered at the TCM according to control
of the shift lever positions(P, R, N, D) and it is used to control of
the gear setting.

Removal • When Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) is on, perform the following procedure to replace it.

Inspection 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the crash pad lower panel (A). (Refer to Body - "Crash Pad Lower Panel") 3. Remove the crash pad lower switch (A).
Inspection 1. Turn the ignition switch OFF. 2. Disconnect the intake actuator connector. 3. Verify that the intake actuator operates to the fresh position when connecting 12V to terminal 3 and grounding terminal 4.
