Description The Alternator has eight built-in diodes, each rectifying AC current to DC current. Therefore, DC current appears at alternator "B" terminal.
Components 1. Pulley 2. Front housing 3. Front bearing 4. Stator 5. Rotor 6. Rear bearing 7. Rear housing 8.
Removal 1. Disconnect the negative(-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the crash pad lower panel. (Refer to Body - "Crash Pad Lower Panel") 3. Remove the steering column upper and lower shrouds.
Inspection 1. Disconnect the ignition switch connector (B) and key warning switch connector (A) from under the steering column. 2. Check for continuity between the terminals. 3.
